wow, I'm not too sure that would be a good idea. You would have to get a new serpentine belt so the pump wasn't turning, and then there's the steering issue once the power assist isn't there anymore. I replaced all of my hoses in a little over an hour with a kit I bought @ AB. Think it was right at $100 for all of the hoses. Back to the key in the lock... I asked the locksmith, and he said it would cost about $30.00 to have it removed & a new key cut. I'm sure the cost and service would be the same in your area.
