Little green box with blue wire... pain in my butt

Default Little green box with blue wire... pain in my butt

after a long day of working on her, took her on a test drive and was happy inthen i try to restart it the darn alarm off again... it was midnight so i disconnect the battery inthen next day so i can figure out what going on so i try the key nothing then i was looking at this green box with the blue wire so i cut the wire off and try the key again.... alarm disalarm but i want to know what this green box is

Theft alarm unit, see page in the RAVE electrical manual, conector is shown on page 491 of 591, the circuitry is drawn out on page 322 of same. Looks like someone tried to bypass the "spider" and defeat the alarm system functions due to problems. Have fun.

buzz what is the right way to kill the alarm system all together and i though the spider was deep in dashboard not on the passenger side

12 guage buckshot or large caliber pistol usually will kill the beast!

That purple wire looks bad too.

IMHO I would try putting it back stock and unplug the hood switch. Or see https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...-bypass-46728/
