Default loose hose in the engine bay

I found a loose hose in my engine bay. Its on the right side (facing the engine bay) valve cover near the top. Its dead center on top. What hose is this and what does it connect to?

You talking about the hose on the left of the top pic that goes from the valve cover to the intake plenum?
That is the PCV system.

These may help - seems like it would not be running well if hose was knocked loose...

I'll take a picture for you guys tomorrow, it will explain itself. Sorry I just popped the hood to check on my PS system when I saw it and frantically posted the thread in a hurry before I went to church.
