But try to rotate that piece if you can, it may save you the hassle of tearing out the center console.

no he is talking about turning the little clip over the nipple that is on the CDL you shoudl be able to reach from under the truck and manually rotate it. and yes your boot should rotate and rotate until it comes right off. its screwed on!

I knew it was screwed on haha, but when he started talking about rotating things that's the only thing I thought of haha. So the little claw like thing I described earlier should be able to rotate? Idk, let me re-read the posts.

Okay I see, so what you said is get the pop rivet gun, remove the center console. Then that center nut loosen it (turning it left which is CCW) and maybe it will move it to the locked position. Am I right? And the piece is this triangular part..sort of like the gas cap but not rounded right?

Okay First: Differential
I get the new diff monday, and I was looking for the pinion seal that needed to be replaced and the nylock nut.
What is the difference between these two? They both say pinion seal..
Seal 1 - $16
Seal 2 - $6
What is the difference between the two and which do I need?

And I found the Nylock Nut
M16
All I need for the diff switch?

2nd off: Swivel *****
What is "servicing" them entail? I just know my swivel ***** aren't shiny like other peoples and that's not good. I'm reading the rave now as I type this on another computer, but it's late and I probably need to re read it again tomorrow.

FYI: I plan to use this thread for all my questions instead of making new threads for all of them

You really need to test your links after you make your post. Both the pinion seal links are the same.

First off, take alook at the link that I provided to the RN exploded view of the linkages. Locate item 35 on your truck. Attempt to rotate the center nut in a loosening direction. I do not know to state it any clearer.

Is English your native language or do you have a legitimate language barrier (HAHAHAHAHAHA)?

@Danny
Ooooooo...so sawry..my engish nu so gewd..

Jk..
No I understood but when I follow a lot of threads I get confused when I switch topics (ex from diff, to interior, to fan clutch to e-fan switch, to cdl center consoles etc) so I just reconfirm things out of habit. But once I get a pop rivet gun I'll get to it!

It's OK. I worked with some guys from Viet Nam and Korea in the past. TYhey would listen and knod even if they had no concept of what was said.

When we got phone calls from people we did not want to talk to, we merely transferred them to Dr. Wong or Doctor Nyugen.
