Yup the gutter guard does fit in there without any trimming at all. That's pretty strange.
Glad I'm doing this, taking out all the turn signals and headlights has shed some light on why everything doesnt line up just right. Now being the **** idiot I am I will get everything sorted out before putting back in. Got it blue tapped and just going to use the angle grinder. Screw the corners, not enough difference to go to that much trouble. Gonna leave it raw, I like the contrast against the black. Pics tomorrow.

I used a jig saw and it came out good and was easy to do corners w jig. I'm not to sure the liquid nails is going to hold on it's own. I've got concrete blocks sitting on it letting it cure.

Liquid nails failed I just applied an entire canister of gorilla glue 2 part epoxy Ive got blocks and clamps holding it down, supposed to setup in 30 mins Probally gonna glue the blocks and clamps down too!

I think you need something thicker so that it fills the voids

I will say the liquid nails worked wonders on one of my headlights. 2 of the sockets were broken that that the ball studs fight into. Put a dab of the nails on them and whala no more loose headlight!

Ok, stick a fork in this project. I must say I really like it. Very clean lines. I also paint all the trim with flat black trim paint. I didn't have the LR sticker on for the pic but it's on now curing until morning.

The trick to this at least for me was to curl the bottom of the material under a bit to conform to the shape of the plastic at the bottom.

A jig saw made short order of cutting it out. As others have stated, cutting is easy, gluing metal to plastic, different story.
