mesh grill write-up
#151
Mine fell off the next day after using Gorilla 2 part epoxy. I read the label AFTER it fell off and I guess I didn't read the part about 24 hr cure time. It was setup and holding when I put in on. Going to try Jen Weld 2 part epoxy now. I think I will review the directions first this time.

Grill removal
I picked up a spare front grill from the local salvage yard, cut out the middle section, and found some clover-leaf aluminum mesh (think of a pet guard for a screen door) to cover the middle. I attached the mesh with small bolts and fender washers (2 on each side, 3 along the top and bottom), then painted the whole thing with bedliner coating.
My question is, what is the preferred way to remove the stock grill and install the new one without damaging anything? The reason I ask is, when I removed the one from the salvage yard, I removed the three bolts up top, and was surprised that it was still "stuck". It looked like the center grill slid over the ends of the corner pieces. It looked like the side pieces have to be removed as well, which requires removing the turn signal housings.
Am I missing something, or should I remove the side pieces and turn signal housings to swap the center grill?

The turn signals are removed by releasing a single spring.
