Thanks for the heads up but this one was ALMOST a garage queen. Had not been out in the weather till about 4 years ago when the Clear Coat got damaged on the hood. Pulled the fans out already the balance of the circuit checked out just fine.
There WAS a 195deg stat in it that was ALMOST new but we out the new one in anyway.

Was the stat mounted so it completely filled the hole in the block? Being careless, I had one slip down about 3/8 inch when mounting, while it did not stick out from under the metal housing, it left an open arc at the top of the mounting, so it behaved like a stuck open stat.

Had that happen on another British toy an XJS so we where REAL sure it went in correct.
Waiting on the fans, original owners manual and some small stuff. Will enjoy this one. Now I will have a parts car to do something with.
