Multiple failures...
Hi All,
I have a number of components that have been failing in my 1998 LR Discovery I (which I love). First to fail were the sun roofs. Next to fail was the map lights in the mirror. Following that, the seats controls on the console failed (forward, back, etc). Following that, the cigarette lighter failed. And lastly, the radio (but not the CD changer under the passenger seat) failed.
I recently noticed on two occasions that a steady trickle of water was running down the 'inside' of the windshield during heavy rain toward the driver side of the dashboard. My LR has to live outside, so it is exposed to the elements.
I've checked the fuses for the items in question as well as all other fuses, but they are all good. Although I could not find a fuse specifically for the power seats. So my question is 2 part:
1. Is there some kind of electrical component that has gone bad that might be responsible for the failure of all of the items I mentioned above that I can identify and replace?
2. Is there a way to pinpoint it the water leak?
Thanks very much for any help you can provide.
John

Hi Spike,
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm guessing I'll have to remove the liner to actually determine where the leak is coming from. I've done some research on the site and it seems the drains for the sun roofs might be the culprit.
This is a weekend job as I think it's going to take me a while.
