I know that a lot of people say the Magnecor is the best, however, at the prices they charge, I just cannot justify spending that much on wires alone when I got an excellent oil filter, fantastic air filter, and a perfectly good set of quality spark plug wires with a Lifetime Guarantee including shipping all for less than FIFTY BUCKS.

In today's economic environment getting the most bang for the buck is very important. I was able to complete a lot more including the MaxLife Oil (2 of the 5.1 gallon jugs) and the can of CRC MAF Cleaner Spray all for less than the price of just a set of Magnacor Wires.

Based on that, I wanted to share all of this information with you guys. If you got the bucks and want to buy the Magnacors, that is fine with me. But I have also read on here that some of our fellow members have had problems with the Magnacors as well. A few people have reported the ends coming off of those as well. If that does happen with the NGK's that are covered under the Lifetime Warranty.

I did not bother to measure the Ohms Per Foot, but I may just for grins.

I haven't seen any evidence of that from my own use of them. They are good, but not worth the premium in my experience.

That's cool too. When I was professionally employed, making over 3 times my current annual income, I was able to drive a Porsche 928 and a Benz420SEL, whichever one I chose to use that day. I bought Perry Ellis suits from Macy's, played golf with new Mizuno Clubs wherever and whenever I chose and did not get overly concerned with the price of things like spark plug wires. Price was not a factor in the decision if it was what I wanted or thought I needed.

Now that the economic situation is much more different for myself, the price factor is a strong portion of the decision making process. I still want the best I can find, but am forced to strongly search for the most cost effective solution available to meet my needs.

This all worked out well for me and I wanted to share that information with the rest of you fellow Discovery One Owners. I am thrilled to having it doing as well as it is and accomplishing a good bit with a very reasonable expenditure.

Happy Trails (Roy Rogers would have been 100 years old this month).

the Rover seems a fairly expensive choice amidst a debate over the cost of PLUG WIRES and AIR FILTERS...Toyota makes great 4X's, you can get them used w/ 4 cylinders. And everything is CHEAPER, the wire set is 1/2 the size...engine holds 1/2 the oil...And if you side swipe a tree, it doesn't cost $35K to fix it...you just LEAVE the DENT...Kinda like a Badge of Valor...lol
Bottom line is: if it works for you & you're happy, that's what counts!
