Default Power Steering box, replacing seals

I finally got the floor and most of the drivers side fixed on my project, and now it seems alot of fluid is leaking out of the power steering box since I finally drove it a whopping 5.5 miles.

Anyway, does anyone have an experience replacing the seals with a seal kit for the steering box? I see reman ones are a couple hundred dollars, whereas I can find a seal kit for $56 on amazon. This is obviously not a daily driver so having it out for a while is not going to bother me.

So basically has anyone done this, and a difficulty level?

Same question here - I've seen a post on this but it wasn't entirely clear how to do it.

I'm not sure on a DI, but on a DII it appears you are better off buying a used box. It seems on a DII that very few people get them to seal correctly, and end up replacing the box. A DI could be a different story

I guess I have to decide if I want to be a pioneer in this area. I am not sure if I will just go with a reman box. Mine looks to be the original (as in rusty as hell.)

It seems like it would be easy enough to get at and take out, but I can't tell if anything needs to be pressed in or out to get to anything.

This youtube video makes me feel a little better about doing it, does not look overly complicated if you ensure the seals set right and you torque everything.
