Quick and Easy Lug Nut Cap Removal
#31
All of my lugs are in good shape--at least they seem to be from my visual inspection.
However, when I tried to remove my spare (for an unrelated project), it turned into a cluster when I couldn't get a lug off. I think the problem has to do with the lug cap spinning on the underlying lug nut.
In the future, I'd love to avoid this problem. So, even though my lugs look good, I was thinking about going around and decapping all of them anyways to prevent any future issues What do you all think about that?
Can probably sell the caps for a few bucks as well.

Hole-in-the-middle look doesn't bother me one bit. My Rover is for utility not looks (although it is beautiful)!
This sounds like a worthwhile weekend project then.
With regards to Range Rover Classic Lugs, it sounds like they also have lug caps that are subject to swelling. At least, that's what this forum is suggesting. Are they just mistaken?
