Default Radiator hose clamp sizes?

Replaced the water pump, t-stat, all the hoses, and coolant.

The top hose where the coolant comes out of the pump and t-stat is leaking. The hose clamp seems thin/small... what size / thickness do you recommend?

thanks

I think that is a 1.5 inch hose. You just need a clamp that is wide enough to snub up on the hose.

The one that is on it already is wide enough, but it doesn’t seem to be tight enough when tightened, as the leaks from just below show.
It also just seems too narrow.

I’ll go find a thicker one.

Thank you for responding and your time

and make sure the hose nipple isn't pitted (new water pump?) Maybe use some JB gasket sealer if it is or sand it smooth.

new hoses (every single coolant hose) all around, new water pump, new proper thermostat, and coolant flush prior to new parts... the leak happened where the clamp is so perhaps some adjustment

the gasket sealer is a great tip! Thank you!
