Radiator hose problem

Default Radiator hose problem

i have noticed that my upper hose sucks flat after driving then it opens back up, system is pressurized and I do not loose coolant, hose does not look fatigued, i had a trans am that did this it was fixed with a spring in the hose any ideas?

Sounds like maybe the cap on your expansion tank might be faulty. Know anyone close who's you could borrow, stick on yours and take a test drive?

sorry no, i did replace it 3 years ago with a used one original was cracked, I do have the white tank

Will a cap from a d2 work?

I have no idea...check one of the Rover parts sites to see if it's the same number.

New caps aren't expensive, like $15 if I remember correctly. And if it wasn't bad in the first place, you'll have a spare.
