Repairing the VSS
Anyone ever find where to get the correct size nylon washer(s) for the VSS. Home depot, Ace, Lowes in my area do not carry these any longer. If you have an extra one on hand I'll buy it from you. John

On the rebuild article the author put the washer on a bolt with nuts to secure it, then mounts the bolt in a drill and grinds it down to size on sandpaper, file, etc.
Im planning on digging in on mine and have been wondering the same thing. If I find one in the future I will post on this thread.

OK, I ordered the washers, they will not arrive until after 4/16 and up to 5/20! I guess they have to get the Chinese factory to ramp up production for the 100 units!
I also ordered the bearings, they will be here next week.

Many thanks for the information.
Does someone know if there's a Hall sensor or some other electronics in the device, or only a passive coil? Could someone check if there is one or several pulses per revolution of the core magnet?
There are lots of different PA (polyamide) formulations. If someone builds those washers from the scratch it would be a good idea to use a PA specifically formulated for "gliding" applications (something like from Murtfeldt or Igus, just as example but as I'm in Europe I don't know the U.S equivalents), generic Nylon washers may be less well suited.
