calculating

The relay that enables power to the seat is grounded by the door or the right seat relay. See drawing in second post

Thanks for the reply. So you saying my MFU could be short internally. Is there a way to test it? And one other thing when i open my driver's door i also heard the relay for the heated seat click, the yellow one right under driver seat. Can somebody send me a schematic for the seat motor control and the heated seat cant seem to find it.

I've looked at this again. The driver seat attaches to the MFU for something like dome lights, etc. So that is not the issue. What is happening is that the right seat power relay is not energizing, or if it is the diode linking it to the left seat relay is open. Fuse 6 being bad in the under dash fuse box would also do this. So is the right seat working? Drawings attached, but you can have the whole set of RAVE shop and electrical manuals for free, just see link below.

Got it figured out. went out this morning check my passenger seat sure enough it's not working. Check fuse 6 found blown fuse. Guess door switch is the back up ground for it in case this happened. Thanks for the help.

No, IMHO the seat is enabled when driver door is opened so driver like me (shadow of fanny weighs 50 pounds) can manage to move seat and get in car to start it.

My seat will function with the vehicle off and door open, but as soon as you close the door, the seat will not move until the key is in the acc. position.

Exactly - this allows the obnoxious maximus bad breath bib overalled redneck to move seat so he can get his immense body into the car driven in by the dwarf soccer mom who carries an 80 pound purse. Door does have to be open to supply that ground.
