Hi Fish,

I have 2 hella 550's on the outside tabs and 2 Hella FF inboard of those. Both are driving beam.

The hood is well lit and I have plans to do the black-out.

Thanks, Tom

I had two 550 driving and two 550 fog on a roof bar. I found the driving threw way too much light on the hood even with my blackout. The fogs, however, cast a nice horizontal beam just over the front of the hood.

I added some Spy Modifications to my Disco II today.
Invisibility Mode and Oil Slick.

And just for fun, I added Pirate Mode for those boring Sunday Afternoons.

here it what i did to the disco "today" well past four weeks. started with a water pump and then the wiper motor which went out in a sever storm. after that new rear drive shaft. on the way to put in the drive shaft the alt went out or just died. and tomorrow i should have my new fuel pump. i was a little upset for everything going out at once but i have fix everything and learned a lot about the truck. i would like to thank two web sites overlandrovers.com in ky. also lucky8llc.com both of which were very helpful.

The oil slick option was a waste of money, we all have that option.
Pirate mode? Is that when you see a Rover like your own, park next to it and steal parts?

Actually, the Oil Slick option was just installing a bucket underneath. The button switches on a servo that dumps the bucket. I have a full bucket every month or so.

Pirate mode is when I put on my eye patch and drive around swinging my sword around out the window. It's like having a siren, people move out of my way...

I rewired my Hella 4000's and Micro DE fogs. Fogs are running off the stock fog switch like most folks. I do a lot of late-night and early-morning driving on the back roads which are rarely illuminated and the stock headlights suck, so I use my Hellas pretty often. It's awkward to reach up to the dash with my stubby arms to shut them off when I see cars in the distance, so I have them run to a toggle on the cubby box. It's exactly where my hand rests while I drive, so now I can just flick them on and off with my thumb.

Edit: Oh yeah, also realized that my passenger right rear window wasn't working because the switch was disconnected in the center console. Plugged in, works fine now.

Wow, those really are stubby arms. Just kidding. That looks like a Rocket Launch Switch. Gotta get me a pair of those...
