From experience using Firestone, they suckazz. 3 different cars, 3 different Firestone locations and they are soo inconsistent. It seems their requirements for alignment techs only requires that you have a pulse.

The tech has to go beyond the machine to understand suspension and steering systems, not just listen to what the machine tell them to do.

It's not only Firestone... I have been so frustrated watching people trying to align my truck I have contemplated buying my own equipment... It's mostly because they dont understand how a lift effects a truck. The last guy to work my my truck was a jeep guy and it's better than it has been.

Go to Asia, ask for any Asian child, get him/her to America, and let him/her sit on your rover and tell them to "greet Americans."

"hurro, hurro, hurro, hurro" x125

EDIT:
I'm Asian, so I can make these kinds of jokes.

I used to do it using floor tiles and string, but that is a PITA to set up. I was also planning to buy the portable laser system, but my garage floor would need to be level to have a good outcome.
