while my temps are OK in the cold I was still having issues in warm weather even after head gaskets and roddin the rad.

So it will either fix the problem or not, think I am also going to deep 6 the mech fan and go electric

Today replaced the thermostat, was stuck open

 

Not many have gone the electric fan route mainly because the mechanical fan moves so much more air.

 

E fans can move plenty of air. Where most people go wrong is not shrouding them correctly and spending the coin on a nice set of flexilites that fit the radiator and move enough air. I have thought about this and have a decently shrouded set of fans but never have fooled with it.

 

It was suggested ford Taurus fan mid 90's+ it is shrouded, I agree need shroud to cover most of the read or you only cool what is direct in front of the fan

 

I thought about E fans just get rid of the loud fan clutch noise.

 

That was my reasoning! Lol. The fans I have are off of a Ford Probe GT. Originally one is a cooling fan and the other is an AC fan. The shroud fits the radiator almost perfectly. I may try it one of these days.

 

After removing front drive shaft I got my spare tire holder. Finally looking good. Now just need some bigger tires and paint it

 

Scored an Atlantic British trailer light adapter at the 'yard for 10 bucks, a PS mirror to replace the one I broke wheeling, and the OEM home link garage opener.

Also found a great deal on a recently rebuilt alternator, which was rebuilt by a legit local specialist shop not auto zone junk...

So my Discos gonna get a lotta love!

 

So just 1 fan with shouud fits?


Less noise, I am sure 1/2 MPG gain lol and tad more power ( probly not noticeable)

 

After about 2 years of "I'm gonna", I finally wired my winch controls to inside the cab of my truck. The hardest part was running the wires through the firewall and snaked up into the switch sockets.
Volume + = Winch Out
Volume - = Winch In
I'm going to wire in a cut-off switch to eliminate accidental bumping of the switches. The pic is unimpressive but the look is sano for sure.


Tomorrow I'll be mounting my waffle grates on my roof rack.
