Default Overdue

Today the Disco got the long overdue engine wash.
Plan to do the VNT upgrade turbo kit next month.
The torque gain on low revs is unbelievable!

Tracked my whine dolman to the rear end. Pulled the third and I'm gonna tear it down and make sure everything is good this evening. Fun times

Got the interior mostly back together, replaced the power steering pump and a few lines. Now if I could only get the rest of my tail lights to work, the previous owner messed with the wiring so now I'm left trying to figure out the mess.

Rear third was NOT good. Found a seal that ended up in it. Axle seal maybe? Anyway it's a full tear down and rebuild now. All new bearings on the way.

At least the gears are OK, is that an inner axle seal? How were you not leaking somewhere?

I guess it's a rear axle seal. All my axle seals are fairly well shot. I run wet hub to hub. Also run gear oil in the swivels for that reason. I did stick my head up under the truck last night and I'm not real sure where it might have come from

Over the weekend I spent a few hours cleaning the undercarriage, rewired the head unit, fixed a gas leak, and tried out some car wash from AMMO.
