I'm in Norfolk (VA). I have two more transmission shops I'm going to take it to, and I'll mention the detent cable thing, and maybe one of them will tell me some good news. If not, and it looks like the trans is shot, I'll shoot you a PM, and thanks for the offer!

Did the wire jump thing on the back windows, and viola, I have working rear windows now. That thread in the tech section was SO helpful, I was able to find the white/pink wire up top, and the white/green wire down below, ran a wire between the two, and whaddaya know, I've got working rear windows again! I don't have a soldering gun, and to be honest, pulling the circuit board, cleaning up the solder, cutting a jump wire, resoldering everything, putting the circuit board back, etc., would be just asking for trouble, at least in my case. Perhaps going the wire jump route wasn't the best, but hey, it works, it was something I could do fairly easily, and that's what matters most to me!

I discovered that my water pump is FUBAR. Times like I am glad I am a parts ***** and that I have a brand new water pump I bought a year or 2 ago bc it was like $30. Also removed my abs modulator and was replumbing the brake lines when I realized I got the wrong tee for the rear brakes. Time to wait for parts.

found out my a/c and both efans work. i guess the contacts on the button in the dash must be dirty, i hit it yesterday by accident and it actually lit up, and cold air started flowing. got home, checked it again and both fans spin as well.

do the efans also go on when the truck gets hot or just with the a/c?

Default Camo Time !!!!!

I started my camo paint job today. The Forest Green was just to boring. My Bride walked out and looked at it and walked away saying here we go again. My last K5 Blazer and Jeep were camo'ed also.
I made a guard for my roof rack lights and added a few tools to the rack.
I will have to post some pictures when I am done.
