yesterday i whipped up a battery tie down and installed some cargo hold downs in the trunk using the factory holes. idk what people were saying about the sheet metal not being thick enough, the unibody rails on my XJ were thinner. headed to rausch after work.

Are you talking about those grommets for the reservoir? Mine are really dry rotted and leak sometimes. Where did you find replacements?

Installed my 7100's today! Longer brake lines and some sorta retainers are on the list! I was thinking of making a mock sg droop kit. I was amazed at the ome shocks, things look like crap but still had a good charge.

ya, ECS tuning. been a week now? still bone dry.

came back from my first trip with the disco to rausch.. color me suprised. this thing is a mountain goat. i did however bend my brush guard and tear a sidewall in an almost-new tire being a bonehead, but luckily that was it. hit a rock hard enough to engage the immobilizer.

the factory brush guard is a LOT thicker than a thought. i'll probably heat it where i bent it, pull it straight, and add a piece of aluminum "show skid" to cover up the dent. it is GIGANTIC offroad compared to a XJ

I'd be wary of running the stock brush guard offroad. The mounting point is way down low and when you bump something it acts like a lever, pushing the top of it back into your hood causing a bunch of damage.
