Nothing like an OBD-II reader to tell you that you're an idiot. Fixed high idle issue with dirty IAC port. in the process the IAC bolt holes stripped so I removed the upper plenum to tap new threads. Got it all back together and idle was down but random so I decided to drive it this week hoping GEMs would relearn IAC steps. When CEL came on today giving me MAF low voltage (what the heck I let it sit a week in the garage before I cleaned it, It cant be fried). Whelp I open the bonnet and right before my eyes there is my stupidity... I forgot to plug the MAF back in.. All is good now haha

Jumped in and did some clean-up on the front brush guard. Has some rust issues in various spots that got sanded down, rust inhibitor-ed and painted with flat black paint. Turned out pretty good, but I believe a new brush guard is in the future as the rust has weakened the integrity of the guard. It is more for show than anything else right now but I do like the way it looks, and a good spot for mounting the driving lights. Without it I am sure it would have sustained some serious damage from the kid's girlfriend trying to occupy the same parking spot with my Astro van. As it is, the Astro got the majority of the damage.

Also did a bit more rust removal on the rear bumper. The paint I got is also rated for plastics so I sprayed the bumper end caps that have been chalky for quite some time. I tried some Mothers Back-To-Black which worked for about a day, then went back to the chalky grey color. Did some heavy duty cleaning on them first and degreased them with acetone before painting so I hope it will last for a bit.

Just trying to keep it good looking until I win that multi million dollar lottery prize. Someone told me once that I would have a better chance of winning if I bought a lottery ticket once in awhile....

I now have led bulbs mounted in the headlights for both headlights and running lights. I also got a set of h3 LEDs for the hella's but have to figure out how to secure the bulb to the reflector

Why would you switch out the H3 Halogen bulbs for LEDs? The H3 LEDs only put out something like 150 lumens where as the halogens put out 1400 lumens... unless you never use your Hellas and just have them for looks.

Where'd you find lumens output for halogens?
