Did oil change. Transmission fluid change. Fixed my ign cylinder. Coolant flush. Installed new radiator. Swapped in my power steering box from my donor truck. Diff/ TC oil change. Installed my D2 weather stripping. Detailed the inside and outside. Thermostat. Chevy fan clutch. New plugs. New belt. Drivers front window regulator. Ordered my Kingsborne 8mm wires. Drove to the desert for the first time in it.

Love to see the "older" trucks getting some love!
She looks great!

Thanks Brett. I do have to remind myself this is a old truck. Latest model I've owned in awhile. It cleans up nice.

Replaced all my shock bushings over the weekend. The difference in ride is astounding. My intermittent death wobble over large bumps is gone, too!
I was most surprised to find all my shocks were still good when I pulled them. On the '95 I bought the Pro Comp shocks were all garbage a mere 2 years after I installed them on my friends truck(that I then bought). But the yellow/blue Bilsteins whose bushings I just replaced were still going strong after 8+ years.
There's something to be said for buying quality shocks.

Started cleaning up the replacement Swivel Ball for my 97 disco, changed out the rotor that was badly scarred from a frozen caliper on the donor axle. Hopefully I will see my truck Saturday so I can swap out the pitted Ball and it will stop leaking all over the place. Tired of adding oil every so often (as required)

The wife has claimed my LR as her truck....

Rotors should be swapped out in pairs.
Hope you get your truck back on the road soon!

So I have been driving the Disco around for almost a week and it is running pretty well. I managed to figure out how to get the factory radio going after several attempts to put the code it. Needed to reset the memory, and then re-entered the code and now I have tunes.
Also located the roof leak to the rear sunroof. Hopefully will finish tearing out the headliner this weekend and get that resolved.
Still no power steering, pretty much determined that I have a bad pump.

I took mine on the beach for the first time.
We have an ugly beach, stones, driftwood, and a little sand.
A friend told me I'd get stuck, but I kept it moving, and didn't even put it in low ratio. I had no problems at all.
I'm liking this thing more and more.

Smile CEL off

replaced the left side O2 sensor, disconnected the battery for a few seconds, reconnected, started the engine, and the check engine light finally stayed off!
Now, i just have to get the SRS light to go out..
