Walt, just might do that. Bought as a parts truck but it's too complete.
Probably gonna be a slow go until fall kicks in. Mighty muggy and unpleasant in the Tennessee Valley this time of year.
Nice, same color and interior and missing hub caps as mine, only 150K miles on it, my mom bought it in Canada and didn't have far to drive to work, only had 90K when I bought it. Try the Meguiars Hot Rims wheel & tire cleaner, made mine look like new and works like nothing else I have tried. 1997 Land Rover Discover, in a drive with a vintage boat in Montana
What’s the size of the brass compression sleeve on the fuel pump
edit: its 5/16
i replaced it and the truck ran for a good while and then cut off. I still have the fuel filter to replace but it’s giving me hell, so I’ll let the shop do it .

Changed all but the Batt. bulbs in the instrument cluster. Few were burned out so....
All replaced with 2721, 12 volt, 1.2 watt, except for the two 158's that backlight the cluster.
On the ones with wee green condoms, just carefully remove and replace.
Left the battery indicator alone. Looked a bit different from the rest.
I finally replaced the drag link ends with new Lemforder's. The old ones were just a little past their usable life. The passenger side end link was all rusty.
I had planned on doing the track rod end links also, but the drag link ends were a bear to remove and I ran out of energy.
I replaced the track rod end links and the steering damper today. This install was much easier because these end links spun out without as much effort.
I really need to replace the swivel *****. The one on the driver side is leaking really badly.
Are the swivel ***** themselves pitted/corroded ? If not it is simply a seal job which can be done fairly easily. Pull the brake caliper, unbolt the swivel from the axle, replace the swiper seal, bolt it back together.
Walt, I just assumed that after 27 years they would be shot, but the swivel ***** actually do seem to be in decent shape. I'll inspect them more closely soon.
I'll add this to my "to do" list. Next up is replacing the a-frame upper ball joint. I'm totally not looking forward to that, but it's completely worn out.
I have the high articulation ball joint assembly and new mounting bolts in the garage, I just need to summon up the courage to begin that process.
After that is accomplished, the universal joints need to be replaced. Then, I'll order the swivel ball seals and get at it.
