Took the truck to an exhaust shop. Had them run the tailpipe from the muffler back. Figuring out where to have the tailpipe terminate was tricky. I'm hoping I found the right balance between ground clearance and exhaust clearance. I would have preferred to stick the tailpipe further under the truck but it would have put it VERY close to wiring and the rubber body mounts.

Also had them weld on the tabs for me to mount my QT diff guard.

I asked Jake what he thought about those the other day. Looking like a good option since the RTE boxes are 250.

Ouch!!
Ballistic Fab makes some good stuff. I can't see why they wouldn't work.
Need any lower shock mounts? I have RTE front and rear eye shock adapters I'm looking to move.

They will work just a matter of how far off the frame rail they sit or at what angle. Id have to look at it on my truck to get an idea

Installed Terrafirma front HD shock towers, HD securing rings, ProSport shocks, and +2" medium springs. Will install the rear tonight.

Interesting notes:
The +2" springs are actually shorter than stock, but stiffer obviously. Almost thought they sent me the wrong product though.

Unlike stock springs, the TF springs dislocate before the shock bottoms out. (No sway bars btw)

Even under full articulation a spring compressor was required to remove and install the springs.

Well I had a little time today before it started to rain...

So what did you do to your Disco today?-img_1407-small.jpg

Jacked it up and put it on stands. Front wheels are gone to a friends house where they will be cleaned, sanded and painted.

Here it is from the other side - sanded, primed and painted the stock bumper...

Looking at the back bumper...hmm.. more plastic crap....damn it's starting to rain!

Eric is it necessary to use the spring compressors in the removal along with the axel bottle jack method. Also are new shock towers and hardware required and what did you mean by 'dislocate'? I'm doing the same thing as you. thanks buddy.
