Default Spectra Radiator

Amazon has a Spectra radiator #CU2370 that may or may not fit my Discovery.... When I did a search for my truck, it came up on the list. I says it comes with the fittings for the coolers and looks to be correct. Also comments seem to be that it has a good track record so maybe...

Got down to the radiator on my old truck, and it looks like it may not be in pristine shape so I am exploring other avenues. at $143, this looks to be an economical choice if it holds up. Not a fan of aluminum radiators and I would guess it will have plastic tanks, but better than the $800 alternative.

Anyone had and experience with these??

The top mounting does not look right for a D1.

Not sure if the picture is the exact part, but the upper mount does look like the clamp was molded in, and the 2nd coolant fitting is 1/2 way down the outlet side.I guess we will see when it arrives. it might be that the upper mount is molded in instead of being separate like the original one is.

Yup, arrived this morning and it isn't even close. Mounts are wrong, connectors are push on , and single row of cooling fins. guess it will be going back.

If you still have the original radiator you can just take it to a radiator shop and have it cleaned and rodded out.

That P/N never showed it fitting a LR from what I saw. Nissens is good, but if your original isn't beat to hell have it fixed. Coolers are larger inside of it vs aftermarket, and it's not plastic!!! I have a 300.00 aluminum unit and it's just collecting dust because the coolers aren't threaded correctly... Company refused to refund me my $$$ so nope I'll go to a junk yard and pull an OEM and have it repaired vs that mess

Seems radiator repair shops are going out of style because of the chemicals they use. Still using the one in my 99 truck, but my '97 truck is sitting right now....

When i did a search on Amazon, this was the first one that came up. Much like the toyota cooling fans that fit and work fine, I figured it was an undocumented fit. I was wrong!!

the Nissens radiator shown above has extra mounting brackets on each side Maybe it doesn't matter if they aren't in the way. I guess I will pull the one out of my '97 and put it in the '99
