Question Steering Problem Help!

I just got done replacing the entire headlight and wiper stick so to do so I had to take off my steering wheel and the rotary coupler to do so. Once I mounted the steering wheel back on though it was on straight and aligned however once I started driving now to drive straight my wheel has to be point to the left a ways. I am wondering if I somehow damaged the rotary coupler? If I did I know they are expensive but can I buy a new one and just replace it or what else do you guys think it could be? Thanks

the wheel and the rotary couple align separately, the coupler has little tabs that sit in little holes so it is lined up right, then the steering wheel has splines that it lines up with (however it can be easily adjusted). I replaced my steering gear box and when I finished my wheel was way off, I then removed it and adjusted it. I also spun the wheel around freely a few times when it wasn't connected to the gear box (didn't even think about the rotary coupler) and broke the tape inside, I bought a used coupler for like $25 and had to centralize it or whatever and it was fine.
