thoughts on good location for coolant temp sensor?
was wondering why that was in there since it seemed fairly useless in this application.
im not real wild on inline hose adapters if there are other options, but ive certainly seen engines where adding another sensor into a metal part would be a lot more trouble than its worth so i suppose they do have their place!
i'm doing what I can to keep engine temps down on the D2. I also had bad luck with the t piece of the D2 cooling system. so i thought it might be a good idea to do the inline t-stat modification (Inline Thermostat - LAND ROVER CLUB V.I.) . others have reduced temps a bit so i was looking for any extra I could get.
is that what you meant...you're not into this one? or just those adaptors kinda like you said earlier in the thread.
and sava...i'm embarrassed at the state of my two trucks for the moment. i need to get it together. i am however proud of what i have learned and keep learning.
Is that a relief valve by the thermostat?
also turns out that coolant plug on this truck wasnt brass, it was steel, but no matter.
What are you referring to above?

dont think its a relief valve, Sav mentioned earlier that port was for the heater core on earlier motors...
unless you mean the part i installed? thats a temp sensor for the VDO gauge ill be putting in later.

im just not into anything that requires cutting up the stock hoses if i can help it, more places for things to leak and i think it usually ends up looking funny
