Default Transfer Case Drain Plug - Bolt and Thread size?

Hey guys,

Does anyone happen to know the bolt and thread size of the drain plug for the transfer case or a place to find a direct replacement (AB did not have one)?

Thanks,

Shawn

looked like it was the same as the diff fill/drain plugs - maybe you could pull one of the diff fill plugs and take it to the hardware store.
at least that seemed to be the case on my 5spd truck, i dont know if the auto truck transfer cases were the same or not... but im sure someone else can confirm that.

I'm almost certain the DRAIN plug is smaller than the FILL plug. I think the FILL plug is the same as the Diff DRAIN/FILL plugs, and that you use a square 1/2" drive breaker bar to remove. The FILL plug is a Hex head bolt IIRC.

Rovers North exploded diagram says it is M8 X 30 mm. Transfer case is under transmissions in the drive train section. It's a hex head bolt, similar to that in the swivels housings.

Actually, it looks like it is part RND458, according to Rovers North. The other bolt you are refering to is for the cover plate. However, you still pointed me in the right direction to a source that I can order it from, so thank you for that.

If they are out of them post back and I can check the thread and pitch on one so you can get it locally.
