Default Transmission issue

Every once in a while when I put my disco in reverse it doesn't engage, so I put it in drive and inch forward and do it again and it engages. Has anyone else had this problem or have an idea if it's a sign that the trannys going? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

while your at it check the kick down cable adjustment. Its the cable under the throttle cable at the throttle body. The clip on the metal cable should be within 1 mm of the plasic straw thing over the metal cable.
