Just for General Info, E = Earth = ZGround on almost all electrical desinations systems.

F= Fuse

S= Switch

P= Plug

It is always great to go to the boneyard on payday. Other D1 goodies come to mind, like MAF ($1400 new), and alternator (bulk store rebuilt ones don't last), the list is endless.

Lightbulb Seperate turn & hazard flasher MOD ?

Hey guys, alot of good info on here
BUT... I wonder has anyone MOD'd the flasher system so the signals have their own flasher & the Hazards have their own flasher? That way BOTH are not lost when the ONE flasher unit fails?
I have been looking at the socket & trying to figure a way to do this but Im new to electrical stuff in the truck & don't want to let any of that magic smoke out
The Flasher has 4 prongs, ( + - L & W/L)
OR am I stuck with the single $60 flasher?

Any info be great
Thanks
~Christian~

A while ago I was working on the radio and SWMBO needed the the truck, so on she went but the turning signal was inoperative. She tried to use the hazard but I had it removed (to work on other switches). It turns out that the turn signal does not work when the hazard switch is removed/faulty.
When picking a junk-treasure, get all the switches, control boxes, relays and motors (including the corresponding connectors).
Oh, yeah.... Is the steering column smelling of burnt plastic (like the old bakelite insulator)? Chances are high that the turning switch at the column is cooked. Don't despair, it's an easy fix but the reassembly leaves people in despair. PM me if so and I'll guide you thru rebuilding it if you make it an "How To Do It" post.
