Mine updates every second and only goes blank when switching pages. I might have configured it that way though.

With the ultra gauge I am running 194-199 in town with no a/c on. With a/c in town I saw it start climbing and I turned the a/c off at 210 and maxed the heat. **
It was in 100 degree temps but this is no excuse.**
I just replaced the thermostat for the one that opens 10 degrees lower than stock and these were the readings.
I might not of gotten all the air bubbles out of it. I did notice that I was low on coolant because I didn't refill it all the way after I replaced the thermo.
I took the fan cover off that goes around the radiator and found that the radiator has "gunk" looks like dog hair to be exact covering it. So does the A/C condenser. I will clean the rest of that tomorrow with the air compressor.

Mine is running about the same with a 180 thermo, brand new GM fan clutch, except I run about 199-203 with ac. I seem to get above 210 when there is a lot of load on the motor. I peaked 220 while traveling through the mountains with a fully loaded truck.
Curious to see if flushing the system will make a difference for you.

Flushing helped. The fluid was an unknown age, at least 1.5 years, so I'm sure it made a difference. I've seen a reduction in temps. Still will reach up to 215 uphill, middle of the day, a/c on.
Our numbers look very similar. I put in a 195 t stat, that's all they had at the store and I was in a rush.
