Default Upgrade injectors help

Just wondering what the latest consensus is on the best upgraded fuel injectors are these days for a ‘97 D1.

I’ve searched and searched and the newest post I can find is about four years old.

Thanks,

The '96 has used Ford Mustang 4-hole 19#/hr injectors from an ebay refurb shop. The '94 has new Accel injectors, also 4-hole 19#/hr, also from ebay. Both run great. Get new if you can afford it. I also bought a used set that had one bad injector, replaced under guarantee, but PITA.

Don't know what you mean by "upgrade". Stock injectors are 19#/hr, so higher flowing injectors probably will require reprogramming the fueling map in the ECM.

JohnZo,
Thanks for the reply.
Do you have a link or part #?

Also, why did you go with these instead of stock?

As to “upgrade” I’ve read about a better spray pattern, better atomization, etc.

The theory for the 4-hole is a better spray pattern. I also installed a 3 bar fuel pressure regulator in place of the 2.5 bar original in the '96. LTFT automatically adjusted to -14% or so to compensate. An 8 pack of Accel is #150819. I lucked out and found a new set in open packaging for half price on ebay.

I used the BOSCH 62354:

I have 14CUX, and reduced the overall fuelling slightly in the EEPROM, but it's much smoother and idles cleaner - I suspect the originals where leaking slightly, prior to replacement.

I bought a set off the jungle website on the cheap to test a theory. https://a.co/d/6bLfhkq
They worked well enough. Swapped them out for some Ford injectors that were in another, running truck.
Might want to have a look at this thread: https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...s-volvo-78787/
