If the panhard rod or radius arm bushings are bad, the whole front axle will shake. The panhard rod has the smallest bushings given the load it bears holding the axle from lateral movement.

Driveshaft vibes give you a nice harmonic low tone at highway speed, like someone has a subwoofer blowing a 40hz tone under your truck. I bet its the driveshafts.

Bushings are all urethane, pan yards adjustable, wheels were rotated and rebalanced , the vibration is felt on the tie rods and transferred to the steering , I believe its coming from one or both knuckles but guess time will tell what's causing it

So resurecting this, break in the weather I finally pulled the front drive shaft and now the vibrations gone, truck seems to drive way smoother acceleration is smoother so no idea if the drive shaft was the issue or just part of it

There was no play in the u joints since I had replaced them, just a little in the slip but not enough to cause concern

Swapped in the d2 flange just need new nuts for the d2 shaft, guess well see if the vibration returns

I was thinking of doing the same, angle and short shaft.

D2 Drive shaft is in and still no vibration so the d1 shaft was the problem, this is strange since we ran it on the lift weight on suspension and it looked fine, oh well on to the next issue lol

I will say there is not much in travel on this shaft with 2" lift only like 1" or so sticking out of the slip, but looks about the same as my rear shaft

What are the advantages of the D2 front shaft? Are there any for a stock truck?

D2 has a double joint at the transfer case , helps with lifted trucks, no idea if it would fit or work on unlifted d1

No need for a D2/DC shaft on a stock D1.
Some lifted D1's do fine with a stock shaft, others don't.
