Default Well got the swivel back together but

Got all the parts I needed and put it all back together tonight, fun.
While it was out I found a package of AllMakes one shot swivel lube in the back and a new CV/Half shalf. Put that in because the old shaft CV joint was rusty and very hard to move

Anyway I get it all back together with all new bearings, new caliper, pads etc etc.
Put the wheel on, tighten it down and I grab the wheel at 12 and 6 and I still have a tad bit of movement. I'm thinking SOB I put a junk swivel in it. So I have my buddy move the wheel and I look at the ball and it's got zero movement in it so I'm semi relieved but now wondering wtf is loose.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Wheel bearings? How did the stub axle look- if it has groves worn in it where the wheel bearings ride, it will allow slop even though the hub nut is tightened to spec.

Good way to tell- have someone press the brake pedal while you try to move the wheel at 12 and 6 o'clock. If it does not have wiggle then the problem is in the hub/bearings/stub axle. If you can get play with the brakes on, then it's a swivel ball/steering knuckle problem
