Exactly! That's the British "can-do" spirit! Now get out there and go drive through a South American jungle!

Have you replaced your crank sensor or checked the crank sensor wiring for chaffing?

have you considered the vehicle speed sensor, if it is screwed the truck doesn't know if it should be idleing or if its running 70 down the road. read the rave on it.

You guys suck I was reading this thread thinking yea these trucks got electrical issues but, I've never had to worry about it not starting or leaving me stranded. Well I got in it to run to the store after riding my motorcycle all day and she won't start, I looks like a classic dead battery though.

you know, thats a good point, and i wonder if that may be whats causing my car too idle very LOW when i come to a stop. Its only seems to happen when my anti lock light comes on

man I'd trade my Disco for a 4Runner or LandCruiser without even seeing the Toyota.
I don't regret buying my Disco, it's just that there's a reason only rich people drive them. They are too expensive to drive and repair. Mine just sits in my yard until I get $$$ to replace the master cylinder and lug nuts. Oh, and that's after I finish restoring my BSA, fix some little things on my DR, fix some things around the house, and maybe get new tires on my Chevy (which I hate, but it gets better mileage than the Rover).

Someday, maybe when I'm retired, I'll get her all fixed up. Or maybe it'll be worth more in 20 years. I couldn't give it away right now.

Until now, I'll keep checking this forum so I know what to fix next time something goes wrong
