I may be double answering but Im doing it just to make it easier lol I took my key blade out of the remote ( wiggle n pull ) then took apart the new key controller, removing the blade.. gave both to the hardware key cutter and BAM 30 seconds DONE! was a little pain to get spring working and also take new controller apart slowly sow spring doesn't fly away lol and then just watch how it came out and put back same way... I think I kind of rotated the back part on spring to create spring tension... thank GOD we dont have to do this when doing our suspensions! hahaha

The trick is to just rotate the top part one full revolution while connected to the spring and then push the whole thing together. That'll create enough tension to spring the key out like a switch blade

First on my list for tomorrow but already scouted out the key cutting op at home depot and doesn't look like it'll be a prob. I'll find out for sure tomorrow!

I'm going to caution you. Read the other thread about the horror stories most of us encountered trying to get this key cut. You're better off going to a locksmith than a teenager running the key cutting machine at depot.

Took your advice and just went straight to the locksmith. $2.40 cents and 3 minutes later the key was cut. I did have to remove the blank from the housing for the guy but that was it.

I got my second key yesterday. Had it cut today and it works great. Guy had to go at it a second time to make a couple of the cuts deeper, but it works! Find an experienced locksmith and they shouldn't have a problem.
