It started last week with lots of white smoke and loss of coolant. I decided to tackle the job myself. I have the gasket set, the bolts and a couple odds and ends on order.

I ran into my first hurdle. While removing the upper intake manifold I followed all of the steps but I can only see 2 bolts where the coils attach and I removed those. I can see a 3rd on the passenger side way in there but nothing on the drivers side. Everything else is loose but I am getting hung up there.

Any tips?

 

on my 4.0 the were four bolt holding coil pak two up high easy to see and 2 way down low. Spray some air or carb. cleaner down on the drivers side and see if you dont find another bolt.
