Here are the tires I ordered: http://www.coopertires.com/html/prod...overer_ht_plus. Reviews seem positive for general road, and winter use. They already shipped the K & N air filter so I will just have to pay to send it back. The rotor have some lines starting to form on them as the pads are worn. I suppose you could just put new pads on it, but wont they wear faster?

I havnt heard anyone weigh in on the Rotor Resurface issue...

As I understand, you really cant resurface DI rotors, DII's im not sure about..
Something about the fact that they arent thick enough to resurface.. I just found some rotors at O'reileys for like $46 bucks a piece.. as for pads, I bought the Original Equipment pads from Atlantic Brittish but they were pricey.. $70ish front $60ish rear. I could have probably bought cheap *** Autozone pads and they would have worked just as well.. maybee only have lasted 30k instead of 40k.. Dunno your choice.. I was going to buy the cheapest ones Atlantic Brittish sold, but I chickened out..

AB did short me the return springs with the front pads.. I had to make due with some I found at ACE so check your boxes when they come.

EDIT..
Feel the pads, do they have grooves in them.. Gouges?? Or do they just look striped? If not, just hose them down with brake cleaner and install the new pads..
Better yet, buy a cheap Micrometer and measure how thick the Rotors are, look in the Rave Manual that people have recomended you download and you should find the minimum thickness recomended.. if its below this number, buy new ones, if not.. throw the pads on if they are not Scarred up

My EBC brake pads were $75 for the front and $65 for the rear. I installed them on my existing rotors and haven't had a problem. My thought when I bought the pads is that down the road I am going to replace my rotors with the EBC drilled/slotted rotors.

The car really needs the new brakes and tires. I think I caused the check engine light to come on because of them. The car was rolling backwards and the car came to like "shutter" stop. 15 seconds after the light comes on. Will it go off on its own or will I have to have the code read?

The only things that will set off the check engine light is trouble codes with the engine or transmission.
Brakes will not set off the CEL.

Im not really sure what else could have caused it? The car didnt do anything it was a really small incline to. Im going to go start it again in an hour or so and see if its still illuminated.

If the check again light is still go down to an auto parts place and have the codes read. Once you have the codes get back to us in a new thread and we'll help figure out how to fix the problem.

Light went out. Bipolar thing. Haha. I had to correct someone tonight. They thought my land rover was made by Toyota and then wanted to argue with me that it wasnt made by Ford/BMW. Toyota! Sheesh! What do they think this car is.. A land cruiser?
