Plus your A/C

If the A/C is charged wrong - probably too much freon, it may make the compressor stick or be hard to turn.
Belt may slip on that too.

Plus and I am guessing now but..
if the freon is overcharged, may make TOO MUCH HEAT come out
of the condenser coil in the front of the radiator.

ya gotta keep of the A/C if you are overheating.
But you know that...

I have double check the bely route and im sure it is correct . where would I look if it was a broken piece of plastic ? , truck has all new hose's and new thermostate , it was over heating with the old one and I cut it in half and took the state out, and it would still over heat just took longer

the 4.6 motor has the NEW sleeve's in it ( top hat style ) and is already ordered ($7600) for a complete long block, the 4.0 that is in it now has a nasty tick and losses oil psi at idle if you leave it sitting for a few min's, My cousin is dead set on a new motor , I just want it to go back together perfect and not give any issues, if I put it in and it over heats right away like this motor , I'm going to be pi$$ed

it was leaking fluid at the front of the passenger side head just behind the alt mount , I put some Blue devil sealant in it and it stopped , I TOTALLY believe the motor is toast , But I want to find it's problem just to know what it was , I don't believe in not learning , there was a problem - what was it - and how was it fixed

The majority of the mechanic in a jar may settle in the lower rows of the radiator, close off those tiny passages, and give you a radiator the effective size of a heater core. Which will overheat existing or new engine. A 4.0 with no stat (bypassed) for me made about 140 - 150F while driving in my area. So if still a problem that could be a bad sign.

If you have no oil pressure at idle:

1) How HOT is the engine at idle? Tell us from your live scanner....

2) Oil pump may be buggered. Probably is. Broken rings in there.

3) Make sure the rocker shafts have not come loose under the valve covers.
Those getting loose will cause excess noise and oil pressure loss. Just two bolts hold each of those on and the bolts had to be torqued correctly.

4) Put in 30W 50W oil for the summer.
No crap 0W 30W synthetic garbage. Get that out of there.
Rover engines like old fashioned out of the ground fossil oil.
