That's a previous owner mod, you would have to trace the wires down. That style switch normally is spring loaded in the mounting and pulls out the front.

this first day I got mine a few months ago I turned on the the heated seat and it scorched the top of my *** and never worked again.. light comes on.. just no heat.. and I dont mind either

Did you ever get to the route of the problem ?- Guess what....I have the same problem with fuse 15 !!.....I have disconnected the heated seats, vanity mirror and cigarette lighter but fuse 15 keeps blowing....Rage !!!

Why are people using seat heaters in the summer?
(OK I had to put in one wisecrack).

When the seats superheat - this is from a person flexing the wire
which is the heater element too many times.

The section of wire then gains resistance and super heats burning a hole in the foam and in the leather.

Fixing it may require silver solder.

You can probably twist it together and then add flux.
Use a solder gun - as it is hotter.
Use silver solder for the high melting point.
