2002 Disco 2 Transmission cooling system.
I've had a few problems with rusty "quick release" connections to the trans oil cooler. I've had one replaced with a rubber pipe and seems to work ok. My worry is if it happens again.
Contrary to pics I've seen of the trans cooler in front of the rad, my Disco has the inlet and outlet pipes on the driver's side (one above the other). It also seems that the cooler is in two halves. The bottom section is a bit wobbly, so I'm not sure if it's ready to let go?!
Would it be a good idea to completely remove the cooler and instal an aftermarket one (that are commonly called "auxiliary" transmission fluid coolers).?
Does anyone know what style my disco's cooler is?
Thanks
