2003 Discovery 2 just died while driving

I took the Disco on a 30 minute test drive and it did not randomly shut off. It seems that the crankshaft position sensor was the faulty part. I'll report back after a few more trips.

Got a pic of that heat shield? I believe my CKPS is failing, I have very similar situation to this threads OP (See my latest thread for more info) but I am trying to get this sorted for the time being and m only option is the sensor from my parts truck which is a gamble. I'm curious about this heat shield tho, as that could help get me get through the weekend at least.
