the no start and stalling may be unrelated. Inspect your Nuetral Safety/XYZ switch for popped rivets. This recently happened to me.

You need to replace only the rivets or the whole unit?

Received the parts I had ordered, went ahead and replaced the Plugs, wires and coil pack. Not the easiest task on a LR, I get why the coil pack relocation kit exists. Long story short, my issue remains unchanged. With new O2 sensors, plugs, wires and coil pack. All in all the parts and cleaning were needed on this truck, a bit disappointing to spend all that time and effort to no avail.

Start of project

Up on the lift

draining the oil, diff's, transmission and transfer case.

Putting fluids back in.

Intake is removed

Time to clean some of these parts.

A bit cleaner

Some of the parts were just frozen in place due to dirt / grease. Got it off and cleaned.

Going back together with new and cleaned parts.

Anyone know where I can get these clips replaced? I lost one of them.

I was able to rebuild mine using screws and lock nuts from Home Depot and has worked perfectly. I did clean it out a bit, but am not sure that did anything.

I have recently replaced all 4 O2 sensors with new Bosh 02 sensors. At the moment, the check engine light is on, no ODBII codes are shown, the truck will run for ~5 min and shut off. I suspect my Innova scanner is just not advanced enough to communicate with all of the rover systems. IE the fault I have is not going to show up as an ODBII fault. So, I ordered a Foxwell NT520Pro scanner, it should arrive on Monday eve 1/8/19. From what I read it should provide more diagnostics than my Innova and can reset the adaptive learning in the ECU. So that is my next step.

I received my Foxwell NT520Pro scanner on Saturday. For $170 it seems to be a good value, although setting it up and using it was a little frustrating and will take some learning. Today I plugged the scanner in and recorded live data while it idled untill it stalled. ~5 min as seems to be standard. The faults after is shuts off are:
Lambda sensor upstream catalyst bank 1
Lambda sensor upstream catalyst bank 2
Oxy sensor heater upstream cat bank 1
Oxy sensor heater upstream cat bank 2

As I have recently replaced the O2 sensors, I doubt two new O2 sensors are bad in the same manner. I will next try to find a way to record the graph and graph the O2 output from bank 1 US and DS concurrently to see if the sensors respond as expected. I will also need to find my thermal IR gun and record the input and output temp on the Catalic converters.

Because it will only run for ~5 min, then shut off. It will take a bit of time to get both sets of 02 sensors graphed. Here is Bank A upstream and downstream.
  • FoxWell NT520Pro
  • Live data exported to excel and plotted.
  • the scale is missing a decimal. 4.85 - 4.45V
    • This bank neither 02 seems to be working properly.

Here is the other O2 bank. It would seem the Down stream O2 is working and the Upstream is not. Maybe I will stick the Upstream O2 from bank A into Bank B and see if this works.
