No Doubt - Yeah looks like it is for sure leaking at the pump and may be leaking at the box. I’ll check pricing on a new pump and see where we go from there. Thanks!
Well lucky me. I cleaned/dried up the steering box and steering pump. Replaced the clamp on the pump. Drove it for a bit and let it sit overnight. Looks like I have leaks in both the pump and box. Here goes another $500. 🤬
All this started happening after I did the flush and fill sticky. Guess the flush dislodged a bunch of crud that was keeping the fluid from leaking. I’m going to give the blue devil stop leak a try - nothing to lose.

Replaced a leaking power steering pump and all three hoses. The high pressure was a PIA to replace because it ran down the front of the radiator but I am glad I did. It was highly corroded and looked like it would blow at any moment. Pump installation was easy - just followed the video from AB.
I did nick one of the o rings on the reservoir return. I hope that won’t be an issue but if it starts leaking i can replace the o ring relatively quickly. I’ll just keep and eye on it for now. I’ll be back in there again when I replace the steering box. Getting started AB video is great! Pump is out Rusted high pressure New high pressure
Replaced the drivers side lock actuator with a used part from Will Tillery $60 and it came a a few days. Whole job took about 2.5 hours and I was taking my time doing it.
Previous video from Mr. Foreman was immensely helpful. Followed along with the YouTube video on my chromebook while I worked on it and paused it as needed. Not sure I can add much to that but I have a few tips.

This was a used part. I cleaned it up with some contact cleaner to get a lot of dirt and hunk out of it. Then lubed it up with wd-40 and silicone spray.

One of the trickier parts is unlatch this mechanism but if you watch the video and have good lighting, it’s pretty straightforward.
The hardest part was putting the actuator back in. In the video Mr Foreman looks like he is putting it in through the bottom opening but I found the second opening was easier. Only issue was angling it around the window frame.
Between my two discos, I've replaced 5 door lock actuators and remove the window frame to get at them easier. If you have to do this again or on another door, I'd much recommend doing that. Takes about 15 minutes to remove the window frame + glass as one unit and then from there the actuator is another 15. Whenever I go to a junk yard, door lock actuators are always on the list. I think I have like 3 in the spare parts bin just since they seem to go out so often and have gotten quite quick at harvesting them. If you see a junkyard disco with window frames loose in the door, chances are I was there. Ha

@cvhyatt Wow I am laughing at those pictures. I just did this job at the end of last year: Lines, pump, and I put my MacBook in the same spot. I thought it was my picture for a minute. Crazy!
Looks like the new power steering pump and hoses has fixed a large portion of my leak. The steering box is still leaking but it’s not bad enough to cause a stain on the driveway so I will hold off a bit on repairing that.
I’m also playing around with some more product from Design Engineering (DEI). I’m going to try out their Reflect-A-Cool product on the air box and air tube. I’ll do some before and after temp measurements on the MAF temp sensor to see if it makes any noticeable difference.
Obviously the goal here is to reduce air intake temps as close to ambient as possible. Cooler air is more dense so will this make a difference in fuel efficiency? Probably not noticeably, but I will post my results once they are in. Still a small leak from the lower seal of the steering box but the overall condition is much improved!
This is the DEI product I chose to try out on the air box and tube. Initially I tried to go cheap and bought an off brand tape but it came off after a week. We’ll see how this does.
