Yeah, that gets old. Thankfully my 22-yr old son gets to do that, but I know he too is getting tired of doing it.

I do not understand the glue part in the posts...
I did replace one roller years ago and cannot remember the need for glue. But I used a nylon foot canibalized from a defunct home stereo and installed with a screw/nut after drilling out the rivet.

And found these :

Well, we ended up throwing in the towel and ordered a new regulator. We used DAP Rapid Fuse on the second attempt (after using a gel super glue the first time) but it failed a few weeks later. I don't know why our experience was different and worse than others. I loved the design, but they didn't work out for us. Perhaps I should have tried the JB Weld that Lowest Bidder used. Oh well, after two failed attempts we just didn't want to try again.

I noticed shapeways changed the name of their basic nylon material around 6 months ago, maybe something else changed as well

...don't recall how long ago I installed these, but had to check the mechanism because of a clanking noise when bringing window up or down, and thought they had broken; but no! they are still working fine, as well as motor. Clanking noise coming from mechanism "jumping" or not engaging the motor when activated. Only two of the bolts holding the mechanism to door tighten good enough, other two just loosen when tightening. Maybe mechanism is not getting enough support, or it is just giving up. Any hints? Thanks!
