Working on geting a '94 D1 back into service thqat was sitting parked for 3 years. Besides flushing and changing fluids, I am having break problmes that I am asking about in another thread.

We put a new battery into the truck, changed the oil... and she started like a champ. EXCEPT for one thing. Now when she starts all the trucks lights (interior and exterior) flash or blink for about 1 or 2 minutes along with the chimes. At first I thought it was the radio code... but I put that in, and the radio works fine... but everytime she starts I get the lights and the chimes for. Eventually it stops. The check engine light is not on.

It almost seems like the truck is trying to tell us something.... WHAT?

Does the horn work?
I am thinking that it is the alarm. Either it has gotten moisture inside the alram spider or it is confused because it sat for so long.
Check and see if the horn works.
