Well at 119K the trans went. I am deciding if this is worth fixing. The car is in fair condition. I can get a used trans for 500 with 100k on it. Is this a normal thing to have the trans go???? ANy feedback is appreciated

 

I just went through the same thing with my 95 Disco. I opted to have the tranny rebuilt instead of buying a used one. The wrecker would only guarentee the used one for 30 days and with the price of swaping it out again it wasen't worth it.

Trannys fail, it happens, how often did you service it?
I would not suggest you install a used tranny unless you get at least a 6 month warranty, other wise you could get burned badily.
