Thanks all. Where can I purchase a Bleeder that will work on the DII?

I agree. Especially since it is with the brakes. You don't want to loose ABS with these bricks.
I just called another dealer's service department to get a quote... Was told there is a bulletin out for this...

They claim 4 hours of labor and $800 for the part. WTF

Oh yeah, doesn't suprise me. The $800 is for the whole modulator, not just the valve. I would get the kit from ATB and do it myself or have a good indy shop do it. Most dealers don't do kits because if they do it wrong, they don't want to warranty the work. If the modulator fails, LR pays them back.....but probably not the kit.

my local LR indy shop wanted $500 to do the kit (part + labor)... I just don't want to spend $500 on the kit, and then have to have the entire thing replaced 2 months later....

can you do it yourself? You can have your wife pump the brakes for the bleeding, saving a few more bucks. I remember you live in a condo, so you may not....

well, I guess I would go dealer and get the whole thing then. Dang, sorry.

I feel your pain, though. All they have to do is sit in a seat and hit the brakes. My wife didn't want to do it either. I had to do it wil the truck running and the a/c on for her to do it. Nevermind the fact that I am under it eating hot exhaust. Of course she felt better about doing her job when I showed her a $700 bill from Midas that was in the glove box when I bought it. Midas brakes(and rotors) lasted 8 months and under 10K miles. I was on metal right after getting it. They wouldn't do a thing.....sorry, that's another all together...

I have never had good luck with the one man bleeders, but you could try. If it doesn't work, call AAA and have them tow to the closest shop. Might still be a lot cheaper.
