Wow I wish I had a shop locally that was nice. The local shop out here quoted 475 for parts, removal, rebuild, and reinstall. I thought that was way to high. I found a local car guy that works on these for fun and he did it for 100 plus parts. (I had to get someone to do it due to stripped nuts. Have to thank Land Rover for that one.) I ordered my parts from Todd Co Suspension ( http://www.toddcosuspensions.com/diiifrdrovki.html ). They are the OEM Manf but they are the HD variation with zerks in the end caps. It came with the centering ball/seal, and 3 HD u-joints.

Though I have to thank everyone on here for the warnings of the driveshaft woes. I almost had mine fall out. It was missing two end caps on one u joint and they where worn almost down to nothing.

I'm curious, what was the mfg name on the boxes, and what were the part numbers?

I noted on the Toddco website that they sell a variety of Land Rover products. They even have a sale going right now (no affiliation). The front driveshaft rebuild kit is just $99, lower than buying here in San Diego, Carquest price about $135 plus tax for Neapco parts. A rebuilt front driveshaft with greaseable zerks, etc. is just $279, plus a $60 core and shipping. At that price, it seems hardly worth trying to rebuild the old one. I do not know what kind of warranty they offer. Phil

What year is your truck and how many miles on it?
Send me your e-mail address for the PDF.
Do you have this document for 97 Discovery? If you do, kindly send it to jefsantiago@ielogistics.net. Thanks in advance.

A '97 would be the same as a DII, just use the procedure for the single cardan end on both ends.
Alternatively, you can follow the steps in the factory shop manual.

I finally got around to looking at this link and just wanted to say it shouldn't be used for directions. It's an early draft of the one I posted a link to, but this version has several errors including incorrect part numbers.
